Red berry compote (in the Cook's Essentials Soup Maker)

 

2 x 400g bags frozen summer berries, defrosted

or

800g fresh summer berries mix

55g (2oz) caster sugar

 

Stir fruit and sugar together in a bowl until sugar has dissolved then pour into Soup Maker and select ‘Compote’. Serve warm or cold poured over pancakes, cheesecake or ice cream, or stirred into yoghurt.
